Hello Everyone!

How we got here.

The  San Diego Half Marathon 501(c)3 non-profit was found in 2011 by a group of passionate runners and volunteers. The mission was to not just produce premier running events, but to also catalyze volunteering, benefit charities & business in our local community, and promote youth wellness.
In 2020, adapting our mission in a Covid-19 world, Million Mile Charities was established to provide an organizational focus on our charitable efforts, starting with the Million Mile Half Marathon which raised money for childhood cancer research and our charity partner, CURE Childhood Cancer. The Screen to 5K program is being introduced to promote youth fitness & wellness. This virtual run for youth, family, and friends gets you away from your screens to get fit on your way to a 5K goal.
In 2021, the San Diego Half Marathon returned to an in-person event. We are also launching the Crypto Giving Fund to further our mission of supporting charitable giving for non-profits inspired by giving back to the local communities, volunteerism, and wellness.

The heart and soul of what we do is our team, a group of runners, retired professionals, and local business executives that work tirelessly to support our mission.
